Congratulations Pat! Crossing the finish line of a marathon is a special experience. That feeling never goes away. Hoping you have many more marathon moments.

Dr. Smitty - send Dave an address & size & we'll get a Run Ashland First shirt.

Hey, loved the podcast. I agree with you about buying shoes online. I use runningwarehouse.com because they have great prices and offer free 2nd day shipping. They also include a return mail code thingy (technical jargon) in the box just in case there are any problems. Congrats on the 31 miler. I love popping in on unsuspecting gas station attendants and having them look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them what I'm up to. Also, do we get to hear the funny 5k walking story. You teased us and left us hanging. Take care.

I was actually introduced to Shiner Bock at a Restaurant in Nags Head NC. Came back to VA looking for it and lets just say not a lot stores here in VA carry it. Im sure there or more but Food Lion & Target are the only two that I can think of. I will give Ashland Dave one next he comes over :-)

Dave,
Great podcast....Sounds like you had quite a day running! You definately sound prepared for the 40 miler. Also, I was surpised to hear that Crash loves Shiner beer also. I was not sure that it was too well known outside of Texas. They really do make a great beer!
