Stratford Hills 10k & More! - Episode #64
Richmond Road Runners Club does a great job managing races in Richmond (Virginia) and the surrounding area. In this podcast, I report on the Stratford Hills 10k race which celebrated its 30th year. I also report on some of the great performances by Team Incognito members.

Crash here. I had the privilege of running lead off for Team Incognito at the 24 Hours of Momentum. So I had a first hand experience with aforementioned “Starting Blocks”. This guy mainly got his nickname because of his pre-race warmup routine which consisted of high knees.. full out sprints.. and generally jumping around (for lack of a better term) like an “idiot”!! I mean who does that for a 24 hour race??
The gun goes off and im in the rear of the lead pack (about 4 or 5 of us). Starting Blocks was of course front and center and leading the race!! We go about quarter of a mile or so and I let the pack go because frankly they were hauling @ss! About a 6 minute mile.
Fast forward to about mile 2 1/2 or so and there is a clearing in the trail (one of the few places that you could actually air it out) So I stopped it down pretty good and guess who I pass like he was standing still.. “Starting Blocks!” Never saw him again after that. Was awesome!!
