I've decided to keep it grass roots which means you as a listener are important to me. Please contact me at ashlanddave@gmail.com and let me know where you hail from and what type of distance running you do or aspire to do. I don't work for the government anymore which means I have much more freedom! Thanks for downloading the show!

Thursday Nov 14, 2019
Thursday Nov 14, 2019
After retiring from 27 years of police work in the Commonwealth of Virginia, my life changed more than I expected. I took a hiatus from the podcast and other things in my life. I'm grounded now and plan to continue the podcast. This is a short episode with a few announcements followed by an 'encore' presentation of episode #100 which is a race report from my first 50 miler in June of 2010. Thanks for coming back and listening!

Dave's Done! - Police Retirement - Episode #273
Friday Jun 28, 2019
Friday Jun 28, 2019
I've always heard retired people say they're busier in retirement than when they were working. I have finished my law enforcement career and took six weeks off prior to starting a new job. I was busier than ever in the interim, so it's true, for me at least.
This episode has a little update regarding closing one chapter and opening a new one. I hope you enjoy the show!

Light to Light 50 Mile Ultramarathon Report - Episode #269
Wednesday Feb 06, 2019
Wednesday Feb 06, 2019
I completed the 2nd annual Light to Light 50 Mile Ultramarathon in the Outer Banks of North Carolina on February 2, 2019. I finished the race but the course I ran was a little different than the other participants. I took a wrong turn and wasn't able to correct the situation before I was at the point of no return. This podcast has plenty of audio clips from the experience. You may agree or disagree with the way the race director handled my situation. I'm interested in your comments at ashlanddave@gmail.com.
