I traveled to Chesapeake, Virginia, which is normally an easy 2 hour drive, to check on my good friend Dr. Smitty who ran almost 30 miles in a heat index of 116 degrees. I got stuck in traffic and arrived just in time to hang out for the last 1.5 miles of his effort.

Nice job on the podcast as usual Dave and good luck to Lumex on the 10 miler. Nice report on Greg’s 40 mile attempt.

Yes, yes, yes dude. dailymile.com is the reason I am still running, it is my daily motivation, my accountability, and I have made great friends, most of them you met at Greg’s. You need to be on it if you are not!!!!! Yes, our group of dailymile friends meets monthly in Chesapeake at Kelly’s for dinner, to show off race bling, and talk about running and fitness and other things. We also keep up on dailymile of where each of us will be at races and always meet up before and after. Those men and women are now some of my best friends. You need motivation? http://www.dailymile.com will give it to you.
