I had a fun time running the Richmond Half Marathon. If you've listened to the show then you know I wussed out and bagged running the full marathon because I had a hard time training in Virginia summer humidity. I think it was a blessing because I had a great experience running the half distance. And I think it might be my fall race for next year. Really fun! Download the show and judge for yourself. I ran the Patrick Henry Half Marathon again this year and had a great time with my running buddies. A special appearance by Dr. Smitty took place which eventually involved the consumption of large amounts of adult beverages.

I worked the finish line of the Graveyard 100 ultramarathon again this year. Working an ultramarathon is a cool experience and it's different than working any other type of running event. I was not disappointed as this year the race had a new champion and new course record.

I've logged weekly mileage for several years now but I think I'm due a break. I've adopted a more relaxed approach that I'm going to call "relaxed fit." It's different than a bootleg fit which is more regimented. I'll do this until I get inspired to train for a new exciting event. That and some ideas about home repair and littering in this episode.
