Running in the Center of the Universe

I plan to start the Light to Light 50 mile ultramarathon on Feb 3 in the Outer Banks of Noth Carolina. This show has some commentary about that and many other things, of course!

I've bounced back for the most part from my back injury. I think I can get in some long mileage weeks before the 50 miler on February 3. One of my problems is I have a side job that gets in the way on Saturdays. That and more in this shorter version of the Running in the Center of the Universe podcast. I fell down some steps and hurt my back pretty bad. As a result, I lost two weeks of training. This is not a good situation with a 50 miler scheduled for February 3, 2018 and then a 50k the month after that. This show has my commentary about that and a new "map run" project I hope to start soon. Thanks for listening!

Pray for our United States. Where are we headed as an American people? Is the country too big to agree on anything reasonable? How do we as a society cope with painful parts of our history that are commemorated in statues, monuments, parks, schools, or government buildings? This is a monologue that I wrote about how I see things. You might not like it. I live in the middle of the conflict and it's front and center to the media coverage I see and the people I interact with personally and professionally. Pray for our United States.
