I went camping after marathoning (which is not to be confused with marathon camping). In this podcast, I talk a bit about the Charlottesville Marathon and another upcoming race, the Strolling Jim 40 Mile Run.

I would like to thank the listeners who sent in emails this week!

The end is near for my mid-week long runs. In this podcast, I take listeners along for my mid-week 10 miler which starts off not so good. I'm running the Charlottesville (Virginia) Marathon this weekend and it will serve as my last "long" training run before the Strolling Jim 40 Mile Run on May 2, 2009.

Publishing a podcast on the internet is as easy as 1-2-3 if the planets are all in alignment, there's a full moon and you have a computer (with software) that agrees with what you want to do. In this podcast, things worked out this week and I was able to get out another episode.

I talk about the great race in my town, the Ashland Railroad Run 10k (in its 31st year) and the logistics of running 23 miles after running a 10k. I also feature some listener comments which include a great marathon report from Pat of Williamsburg, VA. I hope you like the show.

Oh yeah, I also met Dr. Smitty, who is a great 10k runner, marathoner, and ultramarathoner. Dr. Smitty visited the Center of the Universe and placed in his age group in the 10k!

I've cured some of my technical problems but more are looming on the horizon. I'll still get a show out every week or so. I hope you stick around if you've become a regular listener. Thank you.

In this podcast, I hit on three good race reports from Virginia, Maryland and Texas.

The races mentioned are:

Baltimore & Annapolis Trail Marathon

Texas Independence Relay

Shamrock Marathon
