Not all ultramarathons are the same. My upcoming ultra in Florida will be hot and I'll be bringing some things with me to help. I'm sad to report that Derek Miller has died. I never met Derek but I've been using his free music on the podcast for a few years. Derek was a unique person and I encourage you to learn more about his life at the link below. The 33rd running of the Ashland Railroad Run was a success. I am very proud to be a part of a tradition that was here long before I was. What's cool about this event is that it's a little bit different each year and you never know what can happen. In this podcast, I share some anecdotes from the event and provide each listener with some insight about directing a 10k road race. There are so many details when producing a road race that it really helps to share the work load! I'm right on the verge of suffering from overuse injury(s) because I'm not an elite runner. I'm an ordinary nobody, middle of the pack runner, who is trying to do something extraordinary. The extraordinary part is preparing to run yet another 50 mile ultramarathon. This podcast is about that and other frank comments about endurance running. The annual race is held in May. The Keys100 has 100 mile, 50 mile and team relay options. This is an action packed podcast full of information about the race.
